Professors, instructors, researchers: How are you teaching lab notebook skills? Paper? Digital? Both?

We’re gathering data for an ACS abstract due in 1 week — your input is vital!

I don't understand why anyone would think it wasn't airborne, it was clear on day 1.

Reasons for this lie could be...
Money 🤑 💰
You can't go spend money 🤑 if you are scared of the air 🤔
And work in the "mines" to make 💰💰💰 for the guys on top, "let's not spend money on protection use propaganda!"

Why must they grow up?
This was taken on 17 May 2008. My little girl is gone...now an adult, facing life with new challenges. Like the hour hand on a clock, you cannot see it move, but looking back, you realize it never stood still.

Excellent lecture by @holdenthorp.bsky.social (Research Integrity and Scholarly Excellence @virginiatech.bsky.social) about regaining public trust in science: be humble and meticulous, admit mistakes and correct them, answer questions. Universities should shift their focus toward teaching.

Do you still use paper lab notebooks in your lab courses—or have you gone digital? 🧪📓💻
A small research team (including some of my undergrads) is developing a new #ACS publication focused on modern lab notebook pedagogy in undergraduate science programs.
We’d love your insights #ChemEd #LabNotebook

Weber State & now UVU are on board with #Aranet4. Slowly but surely people, smart people, are catching on to #IAQ (indoor air quality). Dr. Micah Ross, Biology Department, at UVU will oversee data collection with 75 #Aranet4 Home units. Weber State employed 20 Pro units.
