And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.

Portland State University AAUP won their arbitration regarding the layoffs of 10 non-tenure track faculty!✊

An arbitrator ruled the university bypassed shared governance protocols required by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

All 10 laid-off faculty must be reinstated!

It looks like ED is going to open a 30-day comment period on the new ACTS survey component in IPEDS. If so, it will close on December 14. And then....

The idea that this new massive component can be implemented this year is crazy.
Comments on Department of Education's plans to add a *massive* new survey component to IPEDS are due this Tuesday. Here are the 4 recommendations I made as a private citizen in my comment.
