There is a 🇨🇦 program called MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying). Most of the opposition against it is from bible folks. They want to eliminate the program and take away that choice because they want to force MAID users to follow “god’s plan”, which is to needlessly suffer before you die.

Nice, huh?

Exactly. And does anyone really believe that a pro climate PM is going to deliberately ignore and alienate the larger pro climate electorate in BC, which just happens to have 20 Lib seats, while AB has two?
Smith cannot meet the criteria. Carney knows it, and now he has erased any opportunity of Alberta saying Liberals don’t engage them.

There are no private investors, Coastal First Nations say, “No” and BC won’t approve it.

So why are people acting as if construction starts tomorrow? #cdnpoli
Premier David Eby, speaking now, cites PM Carney's comments from earlier this week that pipeline would have to have agreement from B.C. and First Nations.

"This project does not have the support of Coastal First Nations," he says. Adds no proponent, no route, no money.

Are liberal voters really going to flee to the vile, unelectable CPC or the rudderless, unelectable NDP because PMMC essentially told Dani “hey, fill your boots, if you can get private investment, the BC NDP and BC First Nations on board for this white elephant, I’m supportive 😉”.

Can’t see it.

Sooooo, there were no criminals left in Europe by the previous two centuries.

Also, North American indigenous peoples would like a word about white immigrants.
I don't know what even the point of arguing with these people is anymore, but the idea that "the crime gene" had been weeded out by 19th-20th century Europe is something you have to be a genuine imbecile to believe.

If there’s one thing that disappoints me about this platform, it’s that I thought I’d encounter a few true blue conservatives who can offer informed criticisms of the fed govt without insults, refried myths and misinformation. There has to be a few, but I have yet to see one.

Cut the cord. Abandon the networks/legacy media bought by billionaires/RW interests. I no longer rely on CTV, Global, Postmedia, FOX, CBS, CNN, ABC, etc. They are too soft, compromised, and/or outright biased.

It is imperative to critically sift thru the news to find other ways to stay informed.

To all the freedumbers out there:

It is a basic human right that a group of professionals can freely agree to collectively work together for better working conditions.

So why aren’t you enraged that the govt mandated them back to work AND made sure that they can’t legally challenge this order?
At 2 a.m., the Alberta legislature passed a bill that will force 51,000 teachers back to work, impose a four-year contract and use the notwithstanding clause to stave off a legal challenge and suspend teacher bargaining at the local level. It includes fines for Ts and the ATA if they defy it. #AbLeg

This is why I never listen to CJME. Let’s ramp up anxiety based on a violent event in another country 🙄. Why do we need to hear YET AGAIN about a mentally ill person assassinating a far right 🇺🇸 figure? We don’t have that kind of thing here, so why platform it?

Click bait 🗑️.

PMMC mainstreamed climate risk in finance, influencing regulations in the EU and 🇺🇸. He has raised over $10 trillion in private capital pledges for climate action. His advocacy for decarbonization is one of his core credentials. Cons call him a climate zealot.

I choose to keep things in perspective.

Oh come on now, this is when PP’s Calgary high school debate club skills would come to the fore! He’s been waiting 20 years to unleash his international trade acumen!

Imagine the slogan blitz he’d unload on those poor 🇺🇸 saps.

🇨🇦 appears at or near the top of countless country rankings, while 🇺🇸 does not.

I have a bird’s eye view into 🇺🇸 and it astounds me that they live next door to us, yet tolerate their deep societal flaws. But of course they know so little about us, and what they do think they know is often hogwash.
Many Americans are clueless about Canada and what our taxes pay for. They've had it drilled into their heads that we pay a lot, and get nothing in return for it. It's up to us Canadians to set the record straight...which you're doing. Let's keep educating Americans about their Canadian neighbours.

If only there was a way for farmers to pool the marketing/selling of their products to get some pricing leverage 🙄.

Instead, they’re learning the hard way that agri-capitalism is not about competition, it is about eliminating it.

Incredulous, coming from a YouTube crypto wannabe.

If we need someone to show us how to parlay zero legislative accomplishments AND a reptilian personality into two decades of taxpayer-paid salary and expenses - then we’ll call in PP. That’s his wheelhouse.
From the guy who couldn't even convince his own constituents to vote for him in the last general election, thinks he can win over Donald Trump. Or would it just be a bromance?

'There is no B.C. coast. It's Canada's coast': Sask. premier supports Alta. pipeline proposal | CBC News
Sask. Premier Scott Moe repeated his support for the proposed pipeline between Alberta and the northern B.C. coast earlier this week by Alberta Premier Danielle Smith.

Even if you concede to the idiotic assertion that the coastline is key to national interests (ie international trade, therefore it is 🇨🇦’s jurisdiction) it doesn’t change the fact that the pipeline has to go across BC land against prov/Indigenous wishes.

🇨🇦 cannot dictate that.
October 5, 2025 at 3:05 PM
Two vehemently anti-fed premiers are now conveniently volunteering coastline from another prov that existed for over 30 years before 🇨🇦 CREATED SK and AB in 1905. You can’t make this 💩 up.

Next door, the Sask Party has ruled for 18 years and still blames the NDP for austerity measures after the 1980s Devine PCs nearly bankrupted the prov 🤦‍♂️. True to form, prov debt under these cons has increased (on avg) over $1B per year 😳.

This is the result when half your voters are indoctrinated.
