We've released a joint report with @prospectunion.bsky.social - we're calling for stronger collaboration between employers and #TradeUnions to build the employment relations skills essential for economic growth.
Businesses and unions need to improve their employment relations skills if they are to work together effectively and support efforts to grow the economy, says @prospectunion.bsky.social and @cipd.bsky.social, in a new joint report.

The Women & Equalties Committee have published our report as part of our series on Equality at Work on paternity and shared parental leave.

Some key recommendations:

🚼 increasing paternity leave from 2 weeks to 6 weeks is a start
🚼 include the self-employed
🚼 simplify SPL
🚼 paternity allowance.

We found that the current system is broken, and have a number of recommendations to help fix it ⬇️
