Last week, ICE arrested a six-year-old Queens public school student at her family's scheduled check-in. This morning, she was deported along with her mother. One of her siblings remains in detention.

The cruelty of this federal administration knows no bounds.

The military takeover of Washington is not a “distraction” from Epstein. It’s a military takeover of Washington, which is an even bigger deal, and those of us who kill brain cells reporting on this stuff knows it’s been an explicit goal since before the election.

The takeover returns St. Louis to a Civil War-era arrangement of state control. A local official calls the move "a clear gesture of white men wanting to control urban areas."

NEW in Bolts: The sheriff of Buffalo, a Republican, is overseeing a deadly jail system — despite promises of change of reform, little has changed since he took over.

This year, he’s running for re-election. Unopposed. The local Dem chair has said the sheriff is “very successful.”
There’s a New Sheriff in Town. But Buffalo Area Jails Remain as Dangerous as Ever. - Bolts
Despite federal oversight, elections, and promises of reform from a new sheriff, little has changed for people detained in Erie County jails.

Huge win for the Trump administration will remake a lot of things, and a farcical turnaround from how SCOTUS allowed courts to proceed under Biden.
BREAKING: Supreme Court, 6-3, limits nationwide injunctions in cases challenging Trump's executive order to end birthright citizenship, staying injunctions where "broader than necessary to provide complete relief" to those challenging the orders. Lower courts are to decide how that is done.

I was appalled reading this horrific piece in the New Yorker yesterday. This thread is doing an excellent job exposing the false equivocations and mischaracterizations that shape the whole piece…
I subscribe to the @newyorker.com, I was part of ACT UP, I knew Larry Kramer well and know Tony Fauci too. Daniel Immerwahr's piece on RFKJr, features this and other passages that need a reponse. 1/
