Peak me, this 1987 #TotP - in the 40 to 10 rundown there's three bands I've seen but five singles I bought at the time. Didn't buy Five Star but did enjoy them.

One of the first songs I recall where the lyric seemed to be a fully complete whole without needing to tell a narrative story (yes you Billy Don't Be A Hero, Two Little Boys etc) #TotP

This is a great listen - Musical Youth were the second band I ever saw live, in their early 80s pomp, and while this is very much not where my musical interest or heritage is or ever was, it's a story well worth telling, well told.

This is a great listen - Musical Youth were the second band I ever saw live, in their early 80s pomp, and while this is very much not where my musical interest or heritage is or ever was, it's a story well worth telling, well told.

I don't think anyone cares enough to do it deliberately for that reason, but managerial absence today at least prevents further deterioration of the situation. So that's a nice start to the week.
