I love how Carpenter (or whatever conglomerate entity wrote the script) drops this perfect little jab at pop culture storytelling into the middle of the movie:

Graveyards are a waste of resources. People are biodegradable and should be buried naked so they can decompose and feed their sweet, sweet nutrients back to the earth.

I’m convinced that Gunn is using Peacemaker to present a Captain America-like superhero except, you know, America as it actually is: a psychotically murderous but sorta loveable trailer park goofball plagued by racist family and lineage who has to learn to get along with snarky diverse teammates.
