Socialists and Communists said it was a genocide on October 8th or shortly after. We’re not going to forgive or forget what those complicit in this Gaza Holocaust did / didn’t do.
I was reluctantly going to catch up with Biathlon on the Eurovision Sport app on Apple TV. But opening it and realising it’s logged me out again, that’s kind of allowed me to kind of give up. If you can’t do the basics right, then people aren’t going to bother. If YT on Apple TV did that I wouldn’t

I’m not sure how I’d feel if I were Gabriel Boric. Obviously he’s going to be proven right in the end. But then you’d be wondering if there was anything else you could have done to stop people going fascist. I don’t know if every decision he made was good. But I don’t see him anything like Starmer.

I’ve been saying for a while that you can no longer hunger strike in this country, because the establishment will just let you die. They don’t give a fuck. And we’re seeing it play out. If the government don’t act, I hope the strikers give up honestly. It’s not worth dying for this…

British politics is a mess. Food, energy, housing are all too expensive. Major parties are all flogging the dead horse of trickle down. So I’m joining the Green Party. Britain needs an economy that works for workers, for small businesses, and future generations. @greenparty.org.uk

The guy then said that “net zero” policies and the 2050 goal are “destroying our economy and giving us the most expensive electricity in Europe”.

That’s literally the opposite of true. These people are so fucking stupid (or liars, or stupid liars) and they’re dragging the rest of us down with them.
This Tory on Politics Live said that by staying with a 2030 ban on new fossil fuel cars, Britain would be “gifting our entire car industry and all of the cars on our roads to the Chinese governments”.

Huh? That makes absolutely no sense. If you push the ban out by 10 years, it just mean Chinese…

Watching Politcs Live from yesterday. Extremely worrying how they’re clearly using this Australian antisemitic attack to crack down further on protest against the genocide. The chief rabbi clearly has an agenda and I hope Zack Polanski gets the opportunity to make clear why.

Catching up with Laura K from yesterday. At the start she said “the smaller parties have prospered in the last 12 months” and then proceeded to introduce the Lib Dem, Reform, and a Green.

Just kidding. They introduced an actor. No Green on the panel on their special 2025 round-up show.

It’s also emotional when something ends that’s been a huge part of your life as it has been for many of us. I’ve been watching since I was late in middle school and then every day from a couple of years later. That’s a long time. I think I started watching in 1997 or 1998. 27 or 28 years out of 38..
I have to admit it’s sad watching the last episode of Neighbours (again). It’s more than just a TV soap. It represents a lot of progressive things that we should keep pushing, and they did it unabashedly for decades. A show like that is what the world needs right now. It’s the last show to cancel.

This livery design for Great British Railways is as tasteless as the name is. Bring back British Rail and a simple colour scheme (and bring back regional and specialist liveries for certain services).

Filling in potholes is one of the clearest examples of society treating the symptoms and not the disease. Such a dumb way to do things and an incredible waste of money. Just resurface all roads on a set schedule based on typical wear and tear on that type of road.

And actually, dramatically…

I thought Zarah Sultana did really well on Laura K. The questions were standard mainstream media type stuff you’d expect; focusing on the chaotic beginnings of Your Party more than what they plan to do moving forward. But I think she had some decent answers. I’m committed to the Greens for the…

That crash as the full-course-yellow came into force by Pepe Marti was about as clear example of a rookie error as you can get. Glad he’s ok though.

I’m not sure what pisses me off more: parasitic driving test middlemen bulk-booking tests and selling them on for a ridiculously inflated price. Or half a million would-be drivers waiting to join the clogged roads when we could have got them on bikes or affordable, electric public transport instead.

How appropriate that the most sensible response in the audience comes from an Iranian refugee who settled there and now has a young daughter.

I’m sure the Question Time Climate Crisis Special with Zack Polanski on the panel is coming up soon…

Except it’s not. And we all know that in the unlikely event the BBC does a climate crisis special, they’ll invite Richard Tice and probably a comedian or actor to represent the left of centre view.

This is what I’m always talking about on Politics Live today. The Labour guy blaming Putin for us not transitioning swiftly to Green energy, the cheapest and most secure form of energy.

Then the Reform woman saying we’ve rolled out renewables too fast, which is laughable. Then talks about baseload.
