I waited 14 months for a publisher to issue a contract with a "no AI" clause (it had to be all lawyered, whatever). I'd do it again. I'm not agreeing to AI covers, audio, translations, blurb, anything. We stand together or we fall apart.
Writers: before you sign a contract with a publisher, make sure AI isn't replacing your illustrator, your translator, your editor, your jacket designer. Readers: if you're thinking of buying a book, do the same. Refuse. Resist. If AI garbage doesn't sell, people will stop making it.

If you’re just learnin about the video game strike, I wanna clarify a key detail I’ve seen get distorted a lot: Generally, the *developer* decides whether to sign an interim agreement, not the recording studio. Often, the studio is only a middleman. They do not set this term.

John isn't the only Hoyoverse actor who has requested AI protections before they could resume work on their character.
However, they ARE the next known instance of an actor being replaced because they would not waver from that request.
This is a decision made by the game developer, NOT the studio.

non-union actors would NOT be recast.
Due to the US Taft-Hartley Act of 1947 which affects all US unions, NU actors would ABSOLUTELY be able to continue working on a flipped union project.
