After shooting weddings for 15 years I find myself in my mid-40's and wondering if there's a career in archaeology/heritage I can carve out for myself. If any archaeologists or archaeological society have any digs, projects or workshops going on this summer that they'd like photographing, shout up!
These are fab! Love the blurry movement!!

A few of my photos from a fab time at Derbyshire Archaeology Day 2026 in Chesterfield. Full of fantastic talks, great archaeology chats between speakers, and the infamous Colin Merrony book stall! January 2027 seems a long way off! Maybe some sort of Summer heritage social is in order? #archaeology

Can't find any other details about it. Looks like you need to phone the library to book so I'll ask then and let you know.

Sounds like a fab way to spend your birthday! Have a great time!

This looks fab! Might have to cash in some book tokens on it!!

I'll keep you posted. I'm meeting with the group tomorrow to chat about funding options. I'll mention it to them. They're very much of the "the more the merrier" mindset.

The local group have already got 15 homes that are willing to have their back gardens dug up, so they're off to a great start! Hopefully they'll get something going this summer if they get the funding! 🤞

Had a fab but chilly day yesterday with Mathew Morris of University of Leicester Archaeological Services learning all about how to run a community test pit project. Looking forward to seeing how this project in Barrow-upon-Trent evolves!

I'd never heard of Richard Long before this evening, but a friend of mine introduced him to me via this work of his from the 60's. Being partial to spending time walking across the landscape, this piece of work really fascinates me!

I vowed never to rewatch Game of Thrones after the final season in 2019. I remember feeling so cheated by the ending. For some reason, we decided to rewatch it at the end of 2025. All 8 seasons, back-to-back. And you know what? The ending is fine. #TV
