Few studies measure body composition in patients with lung cancer over time; 32 to be exact. I reviewed their findings. Pro: we know muscle loss occurs and intramuscular fat increases. Cons: we know very little about women and changes in fat journals.physiology.org/doi/abs/10.1...

Research out of York University has made history as the first to document that muscle weakness precedes muscle wasting in cancer – a groundbreaking discovery that presents new possibilities for early detection and treatment of the disease.
