I have been basically driving the country for the past couple of weeks, and have to say I’m heartened by all the small towns with protests supporting veterans care, snap and social security benefits, and the anti-Trump sentiments.

I’m so confused at how America’s wonderful obsession with police and legal drama shows has somehow resulted in near zero recognition of what due process means. 🤔

It’s crazy to me how none of these air traffic control issues happened until the Tangerine Demagogue claimed office again.

And yet, he and his followers continue to blame anyone but themselves. 🙄

Basic question …

Critical thinking skills are one of the most sought after sets of skills by employers today.

With the death of education in America today, how long until emphatic employing Americans because they lack the skills needed to compete?

Okay … the movie Bushwick is prescient. Crazy.

Three movies to watch right now: Civil War, Bushwick, and the original Red Dawn with Patrick Swayze.

A “moment of moral urgency” is upon us.

History is happening NOW, on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. Sen. Cory Booker and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries have devoted this day to a live-streamed sit-in, featuring conversations with Americans focused on staunch opposition to the…

I honestly don’t find myself smiling much these days. What with the whole despotic overthrow of democracy and all.

But I’ve embarked on a rewatch of Chuck, and I’m reminded of how much fun this show was.

I’ve said this for years, but nobody listens.

We need to expand the definition of “arms” under the second amendment to include data.

It should be the unmitigated right of the American people to ensure access to the data used by our government to exert control, is properly monitored.

I think it’s fine that we disagree on what good leadership looks like. Were the Bush’s or Reagan, or McCain or whomever good leaders? Was Clinton, Obama or Biden?

What bothers me is that we seem unable to agree on what TERRIBLE leadership looks like.

And this is where we are now.

Hello World,

I am exploring international relocation as an American refugee.

I know I don’t have many contacts here on Bsky yet. But, if you’ll have a smart, progressive technologist, do let me know.

I think the reality is that the changes inflicted by this administration are happening so quickly that MAGA and Trump loyalists haven’t yet felt the pain.

And this is the point. By the time the real pain sets in, there won’t be room for subversive action or civil dissent.

Trump’s Tariffs would be held illegal if the Constitution’s separation of powers were taken seriously. Hell, they’d be struck down by Trump’s Supreme Court if its Major Questions Doctrine and its commitments to original meaning and textualism were consistently applied to Article I and IEEPA. 🔥

If the DOJ is going to punish its attorneys for being candid with the courts, it stands to reason that courts can no longer assume DOJ attorneys will fulfill their duty of candor.
