Fantastic to have been selected as a Labour candidate for Addiscombe East, together with @maddiehenson.bsky.social .

Looking forwards to delivering positive change for #Addiscombe, and working with @rowennadavis.bsky.social to transform Croydon into a council which puts #PeopleFirst.
Fantastic to see the Renters' Rights Act make it into law! Millions of renters can now feel far more secure in their homes, and don't need to face the constant threat of no-fault eviction.
The Renters’ Rights Act is NOW LAW!

Soon S21 evictions, which have forced millions of people out of their homes for no reason & with just 2 months notice, will be a thing of the past.

This is what our movement can achieve when we stand together.

I am once again saying that clean energy is inherently cheap, and the reason we don't benefit from that is because the energy market doesn't let us. Great stuff here from my colleague @chrisgalpin.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/environment/...

NEW @e3g.bsky.social analysis - Heat pumps have potential to *halve* UK heating bills.

But policies need to change if these savings are to be accessible to the mass market 🔌💡

To really put a dent in energy bills, govt should extend this to *all* electric heating.

We set out in our latest blog how electrically heated homes are twice as likely to face fuel poverty

Electrically heated households are twice as likely as other households to be in fuel poverty. So why do policymakers so often ignore them?

I've written to the CEO of Southern Railway asking them to reverse the decision to close the cycle racks at East Croydon Station. We should be encouraging cyclists with secure, accessible bike parking - not taking it away.

Spot on - don't make the climate deniers appear credible by dancing to their tune.

North Sea oil & gas is uneconomical. That's a hard truth, but we will do better with politicians who plan ahead for a fair, worker-led transition, rather than ones who cling to the last century.
❓With reports some Labour figures are privately lobbying No 10 for new oil and gas drilling, Robbie MacPherson argues the idea it will win over SNP voters English Reform voters is for the birds.
