Lockdown and Covid didn't really affect me. I was retired and could work around it. But it did affect my family and many others like them. This teacher found a genius way to deal with it, well done to her and her pupils! www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Impressed with Wills and Kate - as future King and Queen, they can have anything they want. But they choose a very modest, by Royal standards, 'cottage' and will pay for refurbishments themselves. What a good example they set.

Went to museum, read all about how children had to work in difficult and dangerous occupations, and how families only got the occasional day trip never a proper holiday. And wondered why people today feel so unhappy, dissatisfied, hard done by. We are actually so lucky compared with many others.

Of course Anna Lapwood is wonderful and marvellous and a brilliant ambassador for the organ, etc. But I wish people wouldn't stop there, and realise that there are lots of brilliant organists out there just waiting to be discovered - please use her stardom as a launching pad not just as a one-off.

Blossom is so often overlooked when we choose a new apple tree, but as this wonderful montage from @thepackingshedtamar on IG shows, some varieties have especially beautiful flowers. Scent also varies greatly from variety to variety.
