Over the past 20 years, Paris has undergone a major physical transformation, trading automotive arteries for bike lanes, adding green spaces and eliminating 50,000 parking spaces.

Part of the payoff has been invisible — in the air itself.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.
Air pollution fell substantially as the city restricted car traffic and made way for parks and bike lanes.

One HSBC banker paid £16.6m in 2024 (50% rise), £14.8m at Barclays after the UK govt ended banker bonus cap.

Banks speculate with other people's money, gains privatised, public bailout if crashed, customer charges hiked.

Govt says pay rises are inflationary but not when applied to bankers.

If you go on the press tomorrow around this, would you maybe able to drop in that Guido Fawkes (Paul Staines) conceded in his defamation case brought against him by Dale Vince and has ended up paying substantial damages? As no one else in the press is really talking about it, but it is a big case.

Maybe the last couple of uk governments should have invested more in renewables, mandated solar panels and heat pumps for new builds instead of collapsing to the fossil fuel/gas/boiler manufacturer lobbying. Then just maybe we wouldn’t need so much gas and the price cap wouldn’t be a big issue.

Hilarious. Far right push govt to order a review into two tier policing, the review reveals what everybody with basic sense already knows: Policing that punishes white people isn’t just non existent but the claim is linked to extremist views.

The vile, sadistic crimes of this rape gang will not make national headlines, or trend on twitter for days. Govt will not have to account for failures to protect its victims.

And all of us are less safe, because there is a concerted campaign for us to focus only on perpetrators with brown skin.
Grooming gangs and csa are weaponised as part of certain bad faith actors attempts to make them seem race, religion or "integration" based. They aren't. Main offenders are actually white anyway. When you make them about race you risk ignoring other abusers like these.
