everything gets backlash these days. people will see a video of a baby dancing to beyonce and write 10 page thesis about why its problematic. but allowing potential backlash to control art is dangerous and does a huge disservice towards the people you originally tried to represent.

wayyyy too many instances of main characters going from poc to white because leadership/execs are too afraid of the responsibility of having a non white main character and everything that goes into that. you can’t allow your vision to change because of potential backlash.
