Quick trip on @chinnorrailway.bsky.social this afternoon to get reacquainted with an S160. Can't say they are my favourite locos, but the whistle is epic! The new independent line is a hugely impressive achievement - great to see the signalling at Princes Risborough all commissioned too.

The Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway has announced that they have come to an agreement with Rail Engineering Solutions for Class 47 No. 47715 to be based at the railway. The railway says that they have some exciting plans for the locomotive and it wont be long until the locomotive…

A major step forward for our independent line over the last 2 days. An 18 wagon train brought in 900 tons of ballast that was laid along our 800m independent line, which connects our platform at Princes Risborough with Thame Jcn. The next step is to tamp the track and connect up signalling equipment
