Heavy on the pro-democracy and pro-justice posts these days with so much at stake. Also post artwork (collage, assemblage, leaded glass), photos I like, nature, animals, astronomy images, and examples of kindness. No DMs or chats

"The point of fighting fascism isn’t to win every battle. It is to stand courageously against the onslaught, which will encourage others to fight, too. We cannot and will not win every time, but they ultimately cannot defeat us if we stand strong together." ~ Jay Kuo
You're right, what was I thinking?? 🫣

BTW, folks: You may have heard that since trump's pal bought TikTok, that platform is going to shit with censorship.

I've decided to try out its new competitor, UpScrolled. It's brand new, so if you join, you're an early adopter.

I live in a rural area. This is a ridiculous idea. Just how untethered from reality is this regime going to get?

In Simon Rosenberg's Hopium, from a report to Gov J.B. Pritzker’s “Illinois Accountability Commission" by Garrett Graff. Let this sink in:
"…the crime rate of CBP agents and offices was higher PER CAPITA than the crime rate of undocumented immigrants in the United States."

America is the immigrant.
America is the protestor.
America is the huddled masses yearning to be free.

Alex Pretti is America.
Renee Good is America.
Liam Ramos is America.

In this moment of crisis, America needs patriots now more than ever.

I went on Fox News yesterday morning to explain that while the focus is on Minneapolis, Trump is trampling rights everywhere. All over the country, thousands of LEGAL immigrants, including little kids, are being disappeared.

That's what happens in Putin's Russia, not America.

I know some true Christians who follow the teachings of Jesus, but these days, most people braying that they're Christians seem more likely to be following the antiChrist.

Just spraying American citizens in the face because he fucking feels like it.
Bastards.
Pepper spray counts as force under the 4th Amendment.

It’s only lawful if there’s an immediate threat, active resistance, or flight, and the force is proportional (Graham v. Connor).

PAXIS reviewed the video—if those standards weren’t met, it may be unlawful. Support the work: paxis.app

These miscreants are monumental pricks. May their judgement be unswerving and unerring.

I do remember and you are absolutely correct. Every accusation is a confession. Which is creepy as hell, thinking about what some of those "accusations" are.

A fundamental problem with this country is that you have less responsibility, transparency, and duty as you gain more power when it should be the opposite. The Supreme Court gets to be very secretive for no good reason. Cops get a monopoly on violence and have near total immunity when they use it.

Foreign countries are bribing our president to sell out the American people.

Trump family businesses made $187 MILLION from this deal, and just months later he gave the UAE some of our most top-secret AI tech.

They are selling our national security to the highest bidder.

It hurt his feelings so it must be destroyed

It actually matters that we elected a man with multiple and unmanaged personality disorders.

What a shame the media (looking at you) never bothered to care.

Biden- right- that was all that mattered.

Utterly shameful

Just spitballing here, but maybe in the land of the free we shouldn't have a pedophilic ruling elite class, police who kidnap people off the street, and concentration camps?

From license-plate readers to drones and cell-site simulators, ICE relies on a growing web of surveillance.

A few enterprising hackers have started projects to do counter surveillance against ICE, and hopefully protect their communities through clever use of technology.
