You have no idea how hard it is when you know something is affecting you so negatively and if people just LISTENED to you it could be fixed, but because the people on charge won't listen, you are stuck slowly getting sicker and sicker and feeling bad as if somehow it's your fault

You are not obligated to do everything a healthy person does. You are not obligated to be an inspiration. You are not obligated to hide your illness in order to make other people comfortable. You are allowed to know your limits. You are allowed to have bad days. It is not your fault if people leave you because of your illness. It is not your fault that you are sick. You don’t have to apologize for something that is out of your control.

It's hard to rest when chronically ill/have chronic pain because you're never really 'resting', it's more like 'lying down so i don't get worse' vs rejuvenating rest like healthy people get. I'm not resting because i want to, i'm resting because i NEED to

I'm lowkey gonna lose it guys I tried to explain my symptoms to my dad and he told me I need to make my sleep schedule normal and get more excersize 🥹🥹 mind you the disorder I suspect is what caused my worst symptoms is literally me/cfs which calls for not doing that at all. Literally wtf can I do

It's funny that people seem to think that chronically ill people are only allowed to have one illness. If you tell someone that you have multiple chronic illnesses, they'll look at you suspiciously and say something like "you have x illness?", "but you told me that you have y illness" as if you can't have both. Just wait until you tell them about z illness and the rest of the alphabet of disorders you have. mybodyistryingtokillme.com

I feel like my self is slipping away from me. ace-disgrace-on-the-case - Here’s the thing I feel like a lot of folks don’t get: I’m not trying to forget what you said. Honestly, I really tried not to. I can’t control what I do and don’t remember—forgetting things just happens. It’s annoying for you, I know, but for me it’s distressing as hell and when you make a big deal out of it rather than just reminding me you make me feel ashamed. I’ll remember that, at least. It costs you nothing to be kind to people with memory problems. Please. It’s scary enough without people treating memory lapses as a personal failing.

I think the worst part about all this is that I'm still at the beginning. I'm only 16. This will only get worse as I get older. And there is still so much time left for it to get worse. I'm this bad already, and I'm not even an adult yet
