The outbreak of avian influenza has been notoriously difficult to predict and contain, jumping from birds to cattle for the first time last year and spreading to other species.

The administration is slashing HHS & its agencies, but #H5N1 #birdflu doesn't care.
#USDA reports another infected herd in California today, the state's 758th. A full 77% of the state's herds have been infected.

I don't think that the recurrent #H5N1 spillovers and outbreaks issue can be resolved without vaccination of livestock. We have passed the point where culling and quarantine will suffice to get this under control.

RFK is a MOST unreliable source. Do not trust what he says.
RFK Jr is not a trustworthy source about vaccine efficacy or zoonosis, particularly for H5N1 in chickens.

His claim that poultry vaccination will "turn those birds into mutant factories" is incorrect & I've got receipts 👇

Eggs are too expensive in the U.S., so they say, ‘Just buy a chicken!’ Sure, because nothing fixes a crisis like turning everyone into farmers. With bird flu running wild, though, it’s almost like the chickens are coming home to roost—but not in the way anyone planned.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

If you worked for 18F and got fired, Group together to start a consulting company.

It’s just a matter of time before DOGE needs you to fix the mess they inevitably create.

They will have to hire your company as a contractor to fix it. But on your terms.

I’m happy to invest and/or help
