I’ve almost been a professional screenwriter more times than I care to count. And several agents’ assistants have loved my books, even if their bosses didn’t.

I haven't had time to read up on the latest shooting, but I'm going to post my incredibly radical position that a shooting is bad no matter who did it and no matter who was shot.

Stop trying to crack the code of a shooter's motives and focus on the one thing they all have in common -- the guns.

I’ve seen so many variations of this story and they all forget the most important profit center of all for these movies: the toys and the merchandise. That’s where the money is. Just ask Jack Nicholson. 🎥 #movies #boxoffice

Anyone else remember when #sharkweek was about actual science and not some Dickey in a Temu Orca Halloween costume with a plan copied from Wyle E. Coyote?

Unpopular opinion: having watched it twice, I still find the vampires in “Sinners” to be the most uninteresting part of the movie. Coogler did such a great job setting up all the characters, I would rather their stories develop to a conclusion dramatically.

AI features are all well and good, but could we just get lossless audio for movies? And maybe some people use the box to play games, but I can’t imagine many, so lossless audio for TV shows would be better. #appleTV

Only 5 things? These movies epitomize summer movies. They aren’t supposed to make sense. They are supposed to be fireworks shows. Bright, noisy, and fun while you watch them.
5 Things That Still Don’t Make Sense About Michael Bay’s Transformers
There may never be another film series quite like the five Transformers movies directed by Michael Bay between 2007 and 2017. At least, let’s hope not. The “Bayverse” version of the Transformers franc...

Does anyone else think that for the past 29 years every time they sat down to write one of these the writers wished that DePalma and Koep hadn’t named Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt? It’s just not that cool of a character name like Bond or Indiana Jones.
The official trailer for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has just dropped 🛩️

I’ve been returning to Ridley Scott’s THE MARTIAN again and again lately and it was only until recently I understood its hold on me. It’s about a reality that seems to be slipping away where smart is valued, where facts are valued, where science is valued. It’s glorious.

@cnn.com WTH is this “World Sport” show on halfway through “The Lead” on CNN Max? We are supposed to get one hour of Jake’s two hour program, and you’re cutting in for sports? The guide literally says Jake is supposed to be on but it’s not.

I just got around to Longlegs today. I know I’m late to the party, but good God that was masterfully directed. Perkins literally puts you at unease with his camera in the same way Demme unnerved us with his characters talking directly into the camera in Silence of the Lambs.

Authors, if you see this, it’s a sign to post the first line of your book.

“I want to tell you an anecdote I heard that pretty much sums up the problem the people
of the South had with New Coke when it came out right around 1985 or so.”

"The clouds loom on the horizon like massive towers, stretching impossibly far into the heavens, scraping the stars and threatening to wipe them down from the very sky."
