It could’ve been such an impactful album. Imagine how “I protect the family” could’ve been taken if it was about defending queer+trans folk. Imagine how eldest daughter could’ve been about the weight of being a woman right now in this climate. Instead we got a sh*tty album with bad AAVE.

I found out my hidden album deleted all of my ~spicy~ pictures pre-this year so now I’m thinking about reaching out to my exes like “Look I know you still have the pics and I’m not mad. I just want you to send them to me for archival reasons to show how I wasted my hot years on y’all.”

A good friend told me a few weeks ago: "I thought I would be different under fascism but I'm just the exact same person and it's profoundly disappointing to me." I think this is a more widespread view than is publicly discussed. I think that disappointment in ourselves is morphing into negativity.

Couple years ago, a (thin) friend found out she was pre-diabetic and came to me to ask for tips…because she assumed I was too, based on my weight 🙃
I cannot express the sheer joy I felt when I said “All I eat is vegetables b*tch. I’m not pre-diabetic.”
