If she’s our “English teacher” why doesn’t she know about white flight? Why didn’t she consider how using AAVE would come across? She’s written about s*x before. Did she think he wouldn’t get metaphor aka her favorite thing? Is real love really just hiding yourself for a ring? Is that the lesson?

On the other hand I get wanting a light, fun album. She’s finally ~in love~. Then why waste time on at least two different diss songs? Why not make it about what makes the relationship so great other than his d*ck??? Reputation was great because it balanced levity and fun with real life worries.

My point is we need to stop comparing weight to health. I don’t even remember why this popped into my head but I’ve been thinking about it all day. Especially as “thin is in” and untoasted folks are bragging about their “good genes” we need to remember weight doesn’t (always) reflect health.
