Dude who plays videogames and likes rap music. Dad. Social media advertising. Excel guy
(only a few hours in but)
The strongest part of Arc Raiders is that, while there's minimal lore or overarching story, the actual moment to moment gameplay IS the story. I had three runs last night as a complete beginner but each run had it's own narrative arc (pun). Extremely captivating

Feels like the bad ending but it is an ending nonetheless. Great game

Would love to see the metric decrease in activity among those I'm following as we enter in to the 10AM timeframe that Hollow Knight Silksong releases. Happy release day to y'all

Dude if this A$AP Rocky album is taking as long as it is so that he can get as many people together for the sequel to 1 Train then I’ll be the happiest man alive

Think I need a palette cleanser game -- I've started but haven't had the desire to get back in to the big single players just yet (South of Midnight, Yakuza Like a Dragon, Doom Dark Ages) after E33. Playing a lot of REMATCH though.

Anybody got something for me that's new, short and sweet?

idk man I kinda want Clair Obscur Expedition 33 to have another blow up of people finally getting around to it after the hype died down just so we can get another burst of "holy shit this game absolutely bangs" posts in the feed

Happy New JID Release Day to all who celebrate.

It's me. I'm celebrating

The traditional work laptop, to me, is more of a 'modern' take on the old skipping stone. A rectangular disc that can be thrown across the body, like a Frisbee. Outdoors. Near water, if possible.

Heart goes out to anybody impacted by job losses today at Xbox, or literally every other company. Hard to not feel a level of dread when the shareholders need their due.

I'm just tired, man. I'm tired and my heart hurts for everyone.

It hurts my heart to say that DOOM: TDA is just very aggressively okay. The shield doing a lawn-mower on hordes of enemies is very fun. Everything else is a head-scratchingly boring mechanic. Why are there no aerial dogfights on the dragon, why are we locked in to a dodging minigame? Weird decisions

Dude #REMATCH has all the flair of NBA Street with the vibes of Rocket League. It is strikingly fun to play and I think that the skill ceiling is high for this one. There are a few bugs here and there but the Mercy Rules (winning by four ends the game) and short matches pull me right back in

Picked this one up because it looks like Fire Emblem, it plays and acts like FE. I starve for any and all new FE content and games. Can't say it's got a FE-caliber story, but hey neither was Fire Emblem: Engage. Giving this one a Fire Emblem: Engage out of Fire Emblem: Awakening. #DarkDeityII

I'd like to formally let the world know that the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 OST absolutely RIPS. It is truly a masterwork. Phew

In response to the Polygon and Giant Bomb news, I created an indie and worker-owned games media starter pack.

I’ll keep adding to it, so suggestions and recommendations are greatly appreciated. Please share!

I spent well over a month talking to investors to get the actual data behind what’s happening to the games industry. I was going to say “enjoy!” but it’s, uh, not great.

I don't know if I'll end up finishing Blue Prince -- it feels like I'm getting to a point of diminishing returns in my runs -- but what is here in the first like, 20 days of exploring the mansion is phenomenal. Loving this game for the moment

Bro, 3D Sonics WISH they could do what this game does. Holy hell is this thing FUN. It's part flow-state 3D sonic, part Jetliner Sim. Not sold on the STS-like pathways or the Roguelite items. Sometimes I wish levels were hand-designed with multiple paths. But it's awesome. Play this.

Maybe a bit frustratingly minimalist in art, combat, story, & guidance, this game focuses one thousand percent of its efforts in to making platforming the most fun aspect. I think the metroidvania aspect is interesting, but not sure I love it. Want this to click a bit more with me...

Who hasn't picked up their niece & nephews Little Tykes toys and decided to play Resident Evil with them? Spooky without being overtly disgusting or scary, I really enjoyed my time with these puzzles and slow/tense shootouts with zombie (?) enemies.
