Some background lore, for non-Brits: Farage isn’t an organic phenomenon that leapt unbidden from the populace. He was always the tame, hand-fed house wingnut the Sun, the Mail and the Telegraph used to troll the Tories, cranked up or tamped down, depending on those newspapers’ immediate requirements

For two years, we’ve waited for a final ceasefire that has never come. Peace will be delayed as long as our lives are considered disposable, says Hassan Abo Qamar, a Palestinian writer and journalist based in Gaza

There's no such thing as a "left wing terf" when only those on the right celebrate this and you chose to spend your time attacking trans people rather than advocating for the working class.

Rapes aren't prosecuted. Benefits are slashed. The disabled are attacked. And you target trans people? Nah

When I was a journalist, I sat through one hearing where neighbors tried the get their small local pub’s license pulled because it was “like Ibiza”.

I found and mapped every London pub almost shut by council noise complaints last year for @londonermag.bsky.social

Often only one neighbour would complain about issues as small as "faint giggles" but they'd still succeed.

Noise complaints are killing London’s pubs
We mapped the dozens of pubs forced to shut early or that faced closure last year due to everything from “faint giggles” to “constant honking” from cars.

Streeting “can’t promise” people won’t die on trolleys next winter, while delaying social care reforms until 2028.

Lucid take from Kate McCann on this. Death, horror and fury in NHS corridors needs to be a wake up call.
