A picture paints a thousand words, but a thousand words doesn't always paint a clear picture.
So I tried working a day job again, and again my health got in the way.

Now I want to focus on writing again and to start I am planning a big picture blog article about SNAP and EBT.

How it works; the real abuses it faces; and the real positive impact it makes.

If they release an update for AI police drone dogs to be able to bark, would you say they're going through a Ruff Patch?

Got sick of scrolling social media at work during down time due to reality being awful, so I brought a book instead.

The book?

Empire by Orson Scott Card.

The irony is not lost on me.

Something I used to do while bored at work at the cafe was Keitai Shousetsu style short stories in my feed.

Generally 2-3 posts long featuring a goofy alien named Percie, causing havoc with his all-powerful PM machine.

He's incredibly snarky and really just wants to make waves in the world.

I got a new job in a cafe for a local roaster trying to get his legs into the full brick and mortar game.

Since accepting I've seen a massive uptick in storylines swirling in my head.

I feel more like me working in a cafe and I am coming to accept that.

My boss at my current job is absolutely nerding about the coffee I bought the other day.

She doesn't know I bought it when I went in for an interview, and was offered the job.

She'll find out when I leave today when my two week notice shows up in her email.

Seriously, within a day Blue Sky has flooded my feed with unwanted politics the same way Twitter did.

Now it's liberal shit instead republican garbage. I don't want either y'all.

I was super excited Bluesky was not that. How can I fix this?
February 18, 2025 at 11:50 PM
Ok Bluesky, you're doing the same shit Twitter did and overloading my feed with nothing but politics. I haven't seen a cat or nature pic in hours.

Politics will always be there. I didn't come here for that.

When I click "Show less like this", more of it is popping up.

So I am in contact with a local roastery for a Barista position at a new location within walking distance of my apartment.

I really should just open a cafe, that dynamic really is in my blood. I miss the shit out of it.

After working in a medical cannabis dispensary in MN for several months, I can tell you right now they don't care about medical patients.

Especially now adult-use is around the corner, all of our medical SOP is shifting to be like rec, which creates massive bottlenecks.

Serious question: Is any of what's happening now spurring thoughts of "Maybe the executive and federal government as a whole shouldn't be so big it can be held hostage by people with an agenda."?

I genuinely am curious if anyone is considering this angle from everything going on.

Oh woe is Hiro! Seriously looks like he took a selfie of himself fainted.

I need to embrace that coffee is in my blood. And by that I mean yet again I am enticed to work at a cafe and roastery.

Sounds like a hell of a lot better time than where I am at now.

Many of my stories focus on the struggles of the individual, and how culture impacts their lives even if they don't wish to engage with it.

Not all cultures are inherently endearing, and many create existential struggles for the individual beyond even what nature demands of us.

In my experience anyone who expects me to change to be more like them typically ends up not caring even if I do.

It's probably why many end up becoming unapologetically apathetic to the plight of others.

Not all plights are worth hearing.

I would like to note how abysmally awful it is that an entire corporate office of salaried people do not worry about their rent or food being paid during slow season, yet hourly workers at the bottom are expected to carry the ENTIRE financial burden of the slow season.

Fuck corporate America.

I miss my big Luna bean y'all. 10 years wasn't enough time. She was 10 before I ever even met her, but she was the only reason we got a second cat(Rey) at all.

She was an absolute sweetheart and we will never see another Lunar Duner Tuner bean like her.

Love ya Luna <3

We have up to 50mph wind gusts, St Cloud area roads have been HORRIBLE after snow this year, and I have driving anxiety from a rollover in similar conditions.

Just sayin', it's super not a fun day commuting to work around here anymore.
