I don't know how to tell you all this, but many of the people who voted for this have spent a lot of their life in religious organizations that discouraged them from the whole idea of retirement. The whole idea of being dependent and not having dependents has been repugnant to them for decades.

I still cannot believe that they are going page by page through the 900-page playbook that so many warned was always the plan, and so many didn't believe it or thought it was ok to just let it all crash and burn.

Getting really tired of being called a "defeatist" by the people who called us "alarmists" a year ago. I mean, look... we told you this was going to happen. The time to react and do anything real and lasting about what's coming was back then.
