one of the reasons you don't see nearly as many nonbinary AMAB folks as you do nonbinary AFAB folks is that these are not equivalent but opposite things. The Gender Binary does not affect AMAB folks the same way it affects AFAB folks, and thus the responses to that are very different.

when you have two categories and one is oppressed while the other is oppressor this isn't actually a binary, it's a power relationship. we call it the gender binary not because it is truly a binary, but to establish a category so people can place themselves outside of it.
