I've been playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
It's one of the most indulgent and stuffed games I've played in a while, but it mostly feels pretty fun? Kinda reminds me of Yakuza.
Combat is FIRE.
I actually haven't played the OG FF7, which is a sin, but I do know the broad strokes at least.

I recommend writers watch The Amazing Digital Circus to get a better grasp on how "show don't tell" is supposed to work.
I see some young writers who seem to think that they're supposed to avoid characters talking. What the advice should do is encourage following through on what you set up.

I am truly thankful I can carve out the time to work on my creative projects.
Certainly I would love to have MORE time, but at least I can work with what I have.

I really need to finish CO: Expedition 33.
It's a stunning and creative experience but I just haven't had the spoons to finish a big RPG these past couple months. From what I've played it's been very deserving of the Game of the Year nomination.

I've been slowly reading Steel Ball Run (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7) and it really feels like the mangaka needed this continuity reset.
I liked Part 6 a lot, but it felt like creativity overload at points. Part 7 feels both more restrained and more freed at the same time.

Some of my favorite days on set were when we had #Superman on one soundstage and #Peacemaker on another, and I could run back and forth between takes. It really felt like we were building a universe. This was a day when Tim Meadows and Steve Agee from Peacemaker visited the set.
