I have thought of this quote a lot and shared it with lots of people. Helped me point out how car brained we have been guided to be: we have assumed it is a right to have a car wherever we want and gov should help us store it? Wrong. City spaces are meant for people not cars :)

I love this project that pedestrianized a street in Stoke Newington. It keeps existing curb and gutter but adds amenities with a focus on natural materials. Sort of “tactical plus.”

The power of a city tree. Latin Fest on Aotea was 🔥 But here, the shade cool & water reminds us that it only takes a small-ish well-thought out space, to provide a cool calm neighbourhood space that people want to sit in, read, chat or just be. Neighbourhood space for residents &visitors alike.
