Seems like a legitimate reaction to me.

I don't have any horseshoes, though. Can I use a frying pan instead?

Do I call it Frying Pan Theory?

Oh, do the ultra-wealthy next, America! I'm sure that taxing Musk, Bezos, and Zuckerberg could fuel school lunches for lots of kids across the country!

I think that a lot of "Democratic" politicians underestimate how much the electorate wants affordability. And that's not just an issue in the United States.

More Democrats need to come up with bold, but extremely logical plans for bringing costs down and making the future sustainable.

Congratulations to New York City on electing your new mayor. This Canadian stayed up late watching the results of the NYC Mayoral Election roll in online with the rest of you. I hope that he serves you well and fights the good fight for you and your city.

Best wishes from Canada!

Well, today was a novel experience. I was discussing the state of Canada-US and global relations with a classmates on the train home today when we were accosted by a MAGA. I didn't know they'd migrated up to Edmonton, but I can say that as a woman, it was a singularly unpleasant experience.

This is so true, and honestly, I wish that Canada would pull even further away from American business politics, because we're still not European enough for my tastes.

My generation is swimming in student debt, with no real financial future no matter what we do, and that's not fair.

This is actually kind of hilarious. This is what the power of the people can achieve when we really get ticked off.

Just ask us Canadians. We know lots about giving the cold shoulder when people decide to make very bad decisions.

The fact that Texas's governor has ordered representatives to be arrested for refusing to be bent to the GOP's will should constitute treason.

I hope that Texas joins California in standing up for your democratic rights.

I believe in you, Texas! Refuse to bend the knee!
Texas drawing a hard line in the sand! Thank you for standing up to the Bullies in Washington. I stand with you!!

The GOP seems to be moving full steam ahead with their blatant #gerrymandering, and the governor is following Trump's fascist police state lead.

Here's hoping they all get the day they deserve.

Elbows up, #Texas, because those elbows might need to meet someone's face, ribs, or groin pretty soon.

Because they hate people who don't agree with them.

Because it's a supremely biased system that has never known objectivity and will never know objectivity because objectivity is a myth.

And their bias is in favour of the "right", the rich, and those who serve their socio-political agenda.

I may no longer be on the west coast, but I'm still watching the tsunami warnings and worrying about everyone on the North American coast living in the tsunami zones.

Stay safe out there everyone, and I hope that by the time morning comes, all that's happened is a little splash fight.

An important message that needs to be shared. And he is absolutely correct in calling out the hypocrisy of what's going on in Gaza. And what's been going on there for decades.

Our point is so obvious yet lost on our critics: an MP who wins under FPTP won’t change FPTP. There is a massive conflict of interest when MPs decide election law. We need a permanent, independent, nonpartisan body, such as a citizen’s’ assembly put in charge❤️

Evil. Narcissistic. Psychopathic.

Anyone who thinks this sort of legislation is a good idea needs to be jettisoned off the planet with all due haste and no remorse.

A government is meant to take care of its people, especially the homeless and impoverished. Anything less, and it has failed utterly.

A thought. Can we, both the natives of Scotland and those of us who were scattered across the world by exploitation and the Highland Clearances, just collectively disown Trump? Because I don't don't know if my clan is related to his mother's but I don't like thinking of him as Scottish at all.

This feels apt, given my righteous indignation over what the US Coast Guard was pulling in Quebec tonight.

Been a while since I've had something REALLY good to get angry about. But here's something fun. TONIGHT, the American Coast Guard decided to come into Canadian waters to harass, assault, and kidnap a Canadian citizen from Quebec (temporarily), nearly drowning him in the process.

For FISHING.

I found this clip while scrolling through YouTube and I think that more people need to see this after the rousing success of No Kings Day.

It doesn't matter whether you're a journalist, veteran, or even a regular citizen. Whether you're documenting or protesting. They've decided who the enemy is.

The man has a point. Hard to ignore the truth when the war crimes keep piling up in Gaza. I guess Israel decided that it's now time to start committing some war crimes in Iran as well.

Not saying Iran's government is great by any means, but cruelty is cruelty, especially when civilians die.
So much for our POS President, just last week Trump warned Israel not to strike, but Netanyahu gave him the Fuck You

So randomly kidnapping children & adults from places of work, education and immigration appointments, to then disappear them without due process by dudes with wack $15 hair cuts…if this does not meet your definition of fascism, then your definition of fascism is you’re a moron.
