This has all the feels of something that, in normal times, would bring down a government.
If I were Canada, I would be pumping my ad dollars into American networks to advertise our post-secondary options. May be an opportunity to capitalize on the inevitable brain drain in America.

1) NIH grants are extremely difficult to get & not "free money". Researchers must have preliminary data & write detailed proposals. Mine was >200pages & took years to put

You know all the complaints I see from X'ers about Bluesky as a lefty cesspool are interesting.
Here, I see a lot of people who care about social justice and the validity of science. And it is heartening.
That should transcend political leanings but sadly these days it does not.
