Y’all free ebooks if you email me proof of a $5 or more donation to either www.philabundance.org or your own local food bank.

Shit is rough right now and it’s about to get worse—if you haven’t yet it’s time to show up for your community in any way that you can.

Had this happen with the Of Knights audiobook (poor fella’s already unavailable after only two weeks of life) Here’s the response I got from InAudio this morning:

If you work with InAudio for your Audiobooks (the replacement for Findaway Voices) you need to check Libro.fm for your listings. This is the second time they're appearing as listed, but are unavailable once the customer clicks them for purchase.

We're being asked to contact InAudio directly

I have just realized that while I was sick with covid, I missed my book's first birthday, and how my world has changed with it.

Lying in bed contemplating the universe and wondering what things my readers actually come to my work to find

Is it dark themes and catharsis?
Is it relationships and smut?
What keeps them returning to my work?
What draws in the random Amazon buyer?

Will I ever know?

I can't tell if it's because of the change of the seasons or if it's because I started taking estrogen and progesterone, but this week I've been dead tired and apathetic

A week from edits being due is *not* the ideal time for this

🕯️🫀COVER REVEAL 🕯️🫀

A big thank you to Fay Lane for creating a beautifully gothic cover for THIS HIDEOUS HEART that evokes a haunted Victorian séance parlor! The details are absolutely stunning — I can’t get enough of them.

THIS HIDEOUS HEART will be releasing this winter.

Security is a must for creation. Yes, my work explores dark themes born out of past trials, but I didn't create a career DURING those trials. I was able to create when I had the safety to take time off, go to therapy, and start feeling safe. Financially secure artists will give you better art
It’s really hard to describe to people who are not artists how survival mode does *not* inspire creativity, as the myth would have us believe. It suppresses creativity as you try to limit every possible risk – and the opportunities that come with them.
It turns out building habits and stuff actually requires not being in survival mode, who knew?!
(Yeah yeah I did)

Listening to two straight white men critique Wayward badly had angered me

That show was a subtle and masterful display of generational trauma in the style of Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil

LRT: If Canada followed Ireland's lead with a UBI for artists, it would completely change my life. With a guaranteed weekly or monthly income I could actually focus on writing books instead of scraping by looking for extra work to make ends meet.

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Reading this headline made me tear up and my asthma and allergies aren't even "that bad"

As a kid i was allergic to so much stuff I could even have toys in my room for a while. Getting that vaccine would heal something in my heart I think

Maybe I could have a pet 😭

Discord confirms that government IDs used for age-verification were compromised in a hack with a vendor.

Who could have predicted?

Oh, right.
Discord users suffer the first high-profile age-verification hack – and it's unlikely to be the last
Critics of age verification laws warned this was inevitable

"What cultural things did you miss out on—"

From age 13 to 16 we were trapped in an isolated rural community with no car, no money for cable, internet, or a PC, no cell service. If not for my public library with Bill Gates PCs, the cultural zeitgeist wouldn't have existed for me at all
