If you are a writer/author, you are probably aware of the issues with AI in the book industry, and maybe you don't know about the issues with illustration. ALL generative ai is bad (stolen copyright, etc), so don't use generated images in your blog or posts here. It's an immediate Unfollow for me.

I'm at the "this is shit" stage of my work. I know I have to keep going, blindly believing I will reach the "this actually works", or even better, the "this is good (enough)" stage.
That's the difference, Artists don't quit.

Here are reasons THE GHOSTKEEPER’s pitch was rejected in 2021:

- Not enough ghosts in it
- Too many ghosts in it
- We already have a book about ghosts right now

Rejections come down to timing & taste, and you WILL get conflicting feedback. But remember: you want the right fit for YOUR book, too.

We talked about rejection in the class I’m teaching. I could teach an entire class just on rejection! Unfortunately rejection is part of being a writer and all other art forms. But behind every rejection letter is someone you’re building a rapport with to pitch your next project
