The fire hydrant of awfulness is supposed to overwhelm us and it’s working. But all I can think of is that it would somehow be worse if we weren’t overwhelmed & furious &full of grief. If we felt nothing. I have to hope that’s like a single goddamn point in our favor. Our humanity is at least intact

They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+.

So much of what Trump wants to do targeting trans people will depend on cisgender people to enforce his policies and police our bodies and spaces we exist in.

Trump is reportedly going to sign a piece of paper later today declaring that the federal government of the United States defines me as a woman.
