I’m sharing this in the hopes it will help someone: I gave my sister COVID in Feb 2020, and she’s been semi breathless ever since. After many appts, incidental and not so incidental findings, she’s finally been diagnosed with post-COVID dyspnea and will have pulmonary rehab. She’s been a trooper.

Getting older and having a nursing degree means when you wake up super dizzy in the night you look for signs of stroke and text someone so they know when you were coherent before trying to get back to sleep.

How likely is ‘likely’? Does ‘likely’ have a higher probability than ‘probable’? I put together a quick quiz so you can see how you interpret probability phrases, then see how you compare with others: probability.kucharski.io

I think one thing those of us who were or are in healthcare can do is give educational talks at public libraries discussing public health topics, personal health strategies, and basic anatomy/physiology, etc. Health literacy is lower than reading literacy, and the public will need our help.

I have a good news. We have a little (rural) NextDoor thing out here, and a guy posted saying he’s a single dad looking for work to buy food. No one mocked or belittled him, instead they offered ideas for transport and to deliver him food including a van of meat. He’s probably buried in food now.
