After some doubts were expressed in the media concerning having a Community Altar at MSA Annex this year, someone -- maybe the MSA management--set up the tables for the Dia de Los Muertos offrenda on the sidewalk facing Avenida del Convento anyway and draped them with the usual bright pink plastic tablecloths. While the tables were smaller, the political situation here was not allowed to interfere with this local tradition honoring the dead.

Note: according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, the US government will pay $138 billion this year on ACA subsidies. The US population is 347 million. If Trump sends that money to citizens to pay for their own doctors and surgeries and pills, that works out to $397.70 per person.

One thing I will say is that I respect Pelosi’s decision to not pursue reelection and wish that more people of advanced age and advanced power would make room for others by doing the same.

I ended up firing a few small vases this week. I have a bunch of cobalt glaze left from my crystalline class, so I decided to add a little bit into my purple glaze. It definitely made it more blue tones, and the crystals are silver, not gold. #pottery
