Legacy news orgs are no longer impartial or even relevant for the most part. They've been dying a slow death for a while and accelerating. CBS and now ABC are unreliable for capituating to the government. Cable news has few hours of good coverage. Overall, too many ridiculous panels and bad takes.

I've been thinking a lot about that bumper sticker which says "everything looks like a conspiracy theory when you don't understand how anything works" and folks it's pretty obvious to me that the people in power right now have absolutely no desire to understand how anything works.

Congress needs to retake their power to enact tariffs and their war powers. Otherwise, US is done. (It might already be too late.) And why not impeach and convict the tyrant!! #Thirdtimesthecharm

The silence of influential people is deafening. Where is the rally cry from high profile individuals? It's utterly disappointing. Mark Cuban and Ben & Jerry's have stepped up. Who else? Whose voice is most glaringly missing? I have a few that immediately jumped to mind.

Usually, I don't like the idea of shutting down the government for leverage. We are not in a normal budget situation. The Executive Branch is impounding $$$ illegally at their own whim. If there was ever a time to shut it down, it's to prevent this abuse of power. And ultimately protect jobs and $$.
