The majority of the pedestrians slain at these intersections were killed by drivers running red lights.

That we are even having a discussion about "the horror" of drivers being slightly inconvenienced in order to prevent them from turning us into greasy smears in the road is offensive.

I'm 1 of 2 individuals at my place of employment who aren't gratuitously late every week. We also happen to be the only 2 people who don't drive to work, with their commute consisting of a combination of public transit and pedal bike, and mine being 100% bike or e-bike.

Probably just a coincidence.
