Nothing to say really….. 🤔
I don’t use this app enough to have followers but I am SO fed up with the bloody BBC (oh what a surprise they aren’t on here!) reporting crimes involving asylum seekers like they are the ONLY crimes of that sort going on.

Go BBC News for promoting the Reform agenda 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Well phrased here. We all know Trump is repulsive to the point of vile, but he surely doesn’t have to prove it every day 🤬
I've no other way of putting this than fuck right off. What the ever loving hell is this? The "autism problem" Please yeet yourself into the sun post haste.
Trump's diatribe was rooted in eugenic conspiracy theories aimed at eliminating autistic individuals, like myself. Fuck right off.

It’s disappointing that we now use “illegal immigration” as a legitimate concern. UK law allows an asylum seeker to enter without legal paperwork. And they make up just 3%. We have always allowed a small number and nothing like other countries. But we processed them faster and allowed them to work.

Today I walked/jogged a 1/2 marathon - I’m preparing for Cardiff Half Marathon which I’m running for @alzheimerssoc.bsky.social and my mum, who has advanced Alzheimer’s now. I’m so near my fundraising target, I’m sharing this everywhere ❤️

When I, like many others, received the devasting news of my mum's Alzheimer's diagnosis back in 2022, one of my first thoughts was of the availability of treatments and therapies to help slow the prog

I’ve been frustrated to see so much of the ongoing story about asylum seekers and the protests against them covered without hearing from those seeking asylum and now being met with hostility and hatred

I set out to speak to those directly affected to find out about the impact this is having 👇
We escaped war and torture but now we feel unsafe in Britain
Special report: Amid protests and rising aggression towards asylum seekers across the country, we spoke to those being targeted

Just wait until the BBC, Sky, Mail, Telegraph, Express, Sun, and GBeebies get hold of this story of obvious and deliberate tax avoidance!

JUST WAIT!

I do wish all those “anti immigrant zealots” would recognise the truth….
An excellent point by @zoejardiniere.bsky.social: the asylum seekers in hotels are here legally - that’s why they are given accommodation if they need it - yet they can’t legally work, contrary to what most UK citizens want. That’s one reason they can’t pay for their own accommodation.
This whole summer only one story has dominated our entire politics & it comes down to literally 30,000 people in hotels. Ridiculous.

The government needs to get a GRIP it’s pathetic.

I saw a post on social media saying “why would anyone still read real books”. I’ve just picked this one up for a wet Saturday afternoon, published 1951 & currently ‘borrowed’ from my mum. That’s a proper book ❤️

@waterstones.bsky.social & @blackwells.bsky.social are going to be around for a while!

It's not asylum seekers who jack up rents, undermine the NHS, hold down wages and keep people insecure.
It's capital.
The role of the far right is to shift the blame for decades of economic attacks by the rich and powerful onto powerless people who have only just arrived here.

Loved this guy as governor of the Bank of England, I can’t see that’s going to change 😄
Today, we’re building a government that meets the moment. Canadians expect action — and that’s what this team will deliver. A smaller, experienced cabinet that moves faster, secures our economy, and protects Canada’s future.

Good summary here 😊
BBC: “Putin agrees fighting in Ukraine must end but says any plan must lead to ‘enduring peace’.”

I mean he could just try withdrawing the troops that he sent in to invade the country/slaughter its civilians and instead respect Ukraine as a sovereign state.

Just saying.

Just seen that total idiot Chris Mason asking the PM why he hasn’t turned around 14 years of Tory underfunding, mismanagement and corruption in the NHS in 6 months….. typical BBC 🙄
