People aren't engaging with her arguments either, which is that these are separate processes. People saying e.g. 'You can't build these houses because people won't be able to get a dentist' ignores that no one can get a dentist anyway. It's idiotic to leave people both homeless *and* with bad teeth.

It’s time to ditch stamp duty and council tax for one property tax
Britain taxes homes in a way that is outdated, damaging and economically outdated. If only the chancellor would listen to ideas for reform

Whilst the PGMOL try to spin the narrative about protecting Michael Oliver, they are actively pushing the narrative that an 18 year old, who has played under 1,000 minutes of senior footbal, tried to endanger an opponent. Where is the protection for Myles Lewis-Skelly? #AFC

This is really shocking: and true. I discovered I'd just been upgraded without consent to an AI-enshittified package that was about £30 a year more expensive. Strongly recommend anyone who has an Office 365 follow the below advice to get rid of it
Microsoft is going to price gouge you by adding their genAI to your subscription without your consent, and they are not transparent about how to avoid this bullshit.

Here's how to change your subscription back to "Classic" for a lower charge without Copilot: answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffi...

So much misinformation around today on who will be affected by changes to inheritance tax - and lobbyists pretending the data isn't clear to obfuscate. We have detailed data on estates so the truth is in fact very clear if you care to look 🧵

And these numbers include those who aren't remotely real farmers but simply engaged in active tax planning. How do we know? Because we can see that around a fifth of those affected don't just own fields but lots of (IHT relieved) AIM shares - a clear sign of active tax planning
