This week I beat The Adventures of Bayou Billy for NES. Original hardware, no hacks or anything. This game is brutally difficult owing in part to very simple controls and an entire enemy roster of tanks that have quick counter attacks. Too bad because I think it’s a unique concept.

I don’t want to show the final screen for spoilers; but I finished Majora’s Mask this weekend for the first time! It wasn’t the profound experience others have had but still it’s a very cool and smart game. Still gorgeous to look at and a very interesting gameplay loop (literally). Recommended!

Great progress was made today! I feel confident that I’ll be able to finish next week. I talked about this in stream (hopefully while my mic wasn’t muted 🙄) but I’m going to transition to solely retro on twitch and leave newer stuff for YouTube. That means BotW will be dropped for a while (cont.)

I had an absolutely amazing time at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo yesterday. I came away with a great pile of games. Most of these are games that I owned previously and lost/sold and rebuilding my collection is one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in recent history. 💜 retro

This is the correct take and I'm glad that Scott took the time to post this. Hate speech has no place in Retro gaming.

Newly created romhacks are not 'gaming history', there is no argument to be made for preservation. If you're a chud that is hurt by this decision, seek therapy.

I worked Hollow Knight into my ranked platformers list on Backloggd. I’m amazed that it took the #2 spot beating out some of my fondest gaming experiences. But it was an obvious choice when I think about how I felt playing HK. There’s just something really special about Super Metroid haha
