Not to mention the number of times my thumb cramped up at the end as you walk in circles for 15 minutes during the final boss. Two big guy’s relentless walk after you and if you stop moving for more than a second you’re done. An absolute nightmare of a fight.

It’s a cool game, it’s just really FUCKING hard and not in a very satisfying way. Any progress you make you feel like you did despite the flimsy design and not because you learned or got better.

Beat ‘em Ups felt like they were a dime a dozen in the 80’s but fighting through the bayou swamps and New Orleans differentiates this game from games that tread through typical Bad Neighborhoods in urban settings. Not to mention jumping between game modes to driving and gallery shooting!

AGREED, it’s a great game imo and definitely not as rough to play as people say. A little clunky, sure, but once you get the rhythm it’s totally playable.
