Minimum wage here is $15.49/hour. I do not see why a 17% higher minimum wage (a minimum wage differential of $2.20 USD per hour) should require a 218% hike in the price of four strips of bacon at a diner. ($5.50 at present)

New Jersey Transit is finally piloting its fare card, FARE-PAY, starting on the 19th. It's only available at Newark Light Rail stations or certain NJT park-and-rides for now, but it does fully support all bus and light rail fare products, including passes and 10-trips.

Good news for NJ Transit riders: Courtesy of new programming on some TVM's we now have confirmation that NJT's "FARE-PAY" farecards will be NFC cards like about every other sane place on the planet and not use barcodes or QR codes. Not a fan of the card graphic design or name, though.

NJT's new Customer Advocate is actually a pretty chill guy. 100% recommend showing up to any future customer advocate sessions if you can make them and have genuine feedback. He genuinely wants to learn from us riders, especially if we know anything about the actual root cause of a problem we have.
