The sudden influx of trashy elony content on x, once again, pushed me to bluesky.

Like, it was 'kinda' fine yesterday.

Now it is too murky.

It is refreshing to be back here.

There is something pushing me away from Bluesky, and there is an appeal of Twitter.

BUT!

The moment I open Twitter, I get bombarded with so much negativity and hate.

I just close it.

After so many days, I open Bluesky and the first thing I see is a direct contradiction to Twitter. Positivity.

Throwback to the year we lived deep in the New Guinean jungle.

That Monday, I had crabs from Kokopo—fresh, fire-cooked, and delicious.

Our dogs thought so too... until they stole the shells. Let’s just say the aftermath involved chaos, vomit, and a lot of cleanup."

All of my feeds lately be like:

"Bluesky has hit an all time high user influx making it the most preferred social media source for the people still lounging in their matronly wombs, and the second most preferred way of haunting for cemetery dwellers, reports Galactic Times"

I used to love taking my kids to the playground. I could sit there on my phone and mums would still fawn over me. Full points just for showing up. But now thanks to Bluey any less than 100% commitment to my kids' games and I get the stinkeye. That hairy convict ruined everything.

Even when it is on staging.

I am so glad I am setting my pace on TOTK to the pace of my 6 year old.

It takes forever and I like it a lot.

I am not going to do that pro/mo/sqy thing, but in case it improves my feed, here we go:

• Vampire the masquerade
• Fallout
• Software development
• TTRPG
• Game design
• literature
• horror

Nothing else for now. Let's keep it tidy algo. Don't over do it.

I am not exhilarated about Bluesky's lack of toxicity.

It will definitely come.

It came everywhere.

I've been online since 1995. Every village fountain attracted its own poisoners in the end.

But of course, no place went downhill as fast as Twitter-post-takeover.

I've never seen Edinburgh this busy at this time of year.

13 Celsius degree weather +
Saturday +
Black Friday Deals everywhere +
Christmas Market

That does it.

I still have an iPhone (an iPhone 1 despite it was not called 1) in working order and quite fast in terms of operational speed.

I stopped upgrading it very early.

Yes, I can't browse the net or use social media; but all of the offline apps that were loaded at that time are still working.
I accidentally updated the iPhone iOS last night, despite weeks of refusing to do so, and it’s amazing how tech tech companies manage to make their products worse with every improvement

For a second I followed New York Times, only to remember you need an account to read most of the content.

No thank you

I've just realized that I'll keep self censoring.

But, is it truly 'self censoring'?

Avoiding announcing certain opinions, I mean.

Could it be just being "polite"?

Or is there a more sinister reason like a desire to be liked by all?

Day 3958 on Bluesky, still no BBC or Reuters account...
The sun is slowly setting like a molten coin dropped in a deep red ocean.
We must endure.
This will pass.

Love a nice crisp Riesling!

Who else tries to remember the y-axis of a unit circle at 0 degrees with such descriptions?

I keep coming back here and fail to build the algorithm with likes.
It's been a while since I've been self cencoring, it seems that the behaviour is stuck with me.

Also every time I come here, I search BBC or Reuters only to see that no official account exists at the moment.
