Wow, wow, wow, yes.
It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

I don’t encourage people to do or not do things, but if you don’t have a therapist, it’s healthy to ask yourself “What might happen if you didn’t do that? The good, the bad, and the neutral.”
After careful consideration with both myself and my therapist, I will NOT be going home for Christmas. Protecting my peace this year. 🤞🏾

Anyone who has participated in or attended a naturalization ceremony knows how meaningful and joyous these ceremonies tend to be. The cruelty of this is heartbreaking and enraging.
Recently chatted with a nicu doctor about how much parents push back on her treatment reccs. A NICU DOC. This and vaccine hesitancy really demonstrate how we’ve devalued actual experts.
My eldest is almost 10 and her pediatrician had the same reaction when we said we weren’t skipped any vaccinations or slow-rolling the doses. I can’t believe things have gotten worse in this regard.
And doctors are SO relieved when I say it. Margot’s pediatrician said she’s so tired of having to be a vaccine saleswoman to skeptical parents. That is not the way it used to be
