What’s more worrying (but equally evident) is the White House and Trump administration don’t have a clue what’s going on.
The BBC aired Panorama over a year ago and no-one at the WH watched it, and thought ‘hang on, that’s not exactly what he said…. This might be an issue… I best report this..’

Theoretically speaking, could the BBC tell DJT to ‘do one’?
The edit was a bit shonky, but it’s hard to argue they’re not his words or that his intent was what happened. (So the Q is, why bother?)
The BBC could then spend the next 3 yrs calling out every random DJT thought, speech & policy decision.

Watching Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope on ITV.
Which is how it should be.
I was too young to see it at the cinema so it would have been on the telly, probably at Christmas, sometime in the early 80s.
Anyway, nostalgia watching. No spoilers please

If you watched and enjoyed #CelebrityTraitors (no spoilers here if you’re still to catch up), the winning charity is Neuroblastoma.Org.uk and you could donate a few £ to them.

As always with ongoing incidents - don’t speculate. Don’t share unsubstantiated information.
If the post you want to quote refers to ‘my sources’ maybe wait for the info to be confirmed before sharing.
We all know what happens when half truths, assumptions and guesses are treated as facts.
Multiple people stabbed on train in Cambridgeshire as Starmer calls incident 'deeply concerning' - latest
There have been two arrests, police say, but no details have been released about how many people have been stabbed, or how serious the injuries are.

You know how I know that all social media feeds are algorithmically biased?
Those video clips of politicians at press conferences not being able to answer simple questions properly.
It’s got to be edited otherwise the people in charge & those who hold them to account would be truly incompetent!

I love this photo from Portland, however I am drawn to the sign “Frogs Together Strong” and note that its inspiration comes from The Planet of the Apes documentaries.
Those don’t really work out well for humans…
I, for one, welcome our new amphibian overlords.

I’m not sure who started celebrity’s dressing up for TV appearances (I don’t recall them doing this on Blankety Blank).
But Jonathan Ross (Event Horizon) on #TheTraitors and Reese Shearssmith (Withnail & I) on #Taskmaster are a film fans *high five*.
I’d like to see more of this please.

If not Day1 UK police training, it’s pretty early on:
My attitude > affects > My behaviour > affects > Your attitude > affects > Your behaviour and so on…
Every been in an argument which ends up with you both just shouting at each other (and you sleeping on the sofa…)?
Exactly!
But with guns!
October 8, 2025 at 11:29 PM
The *most* important take from #TheTraitors tonight.
Jonathan Ross’s flight suit is from the film Event Horizon, which is the scariest space film after Alien/Aliens.
If you want a horror film for Halloween (obv, if not watching OG Halloween) May I recommend Event Horizon

It’s important to have a distraction technique to help avoid all the depressing UK politics stuff.
So on this weeks schedule, we have the Dirty Harry Collection, Bullitt and All the Presidents Men.
All physical media as nowhere streams them for free

£47bn savings, of which most comes from those who need it most.
Not pensioners though (as they’re protected via the triple lock) or child support (2 child cap) - that’s about 60% of the welfare bill. So it’s everyone else to suffer

I mean, who looks at the USA right now and goes ‘that’s the gold standard right there’?
IF we pulled out of the ECHR what human rights would YOU give up and would you be happy with the gvmt deciding for you?
Especially when they decide you don’t fit, and deport you.
October 5, 2025 at 11:12 PM
Jeez Uk politics is depressing. It’s not even a race to the bottom (which would imply some sort of dynamism), but a slow spiral into oblivion.
If 1 of the ‘major’ parties had a ‘Stealing Candy from a baby’ stall at conference, the rest would compete to see who could make the child cry the most!

There’s enough ill informed speculation & amateur ‘analysis’ re Manchester without adding mine
Suffice to say I have my own thoughts and they’re mainly with the family & friends of those killed & injured and with brave police & CST volunteers who ran towards & helped contain an unknown terror threat

Anyone who hasn’t suffered with chronic illness doesn’t fully appreciate how stressful the whole ‘booking a test, waiting for a test, having the test, waiting for the Dr to confirm the results’ cycle is!

I see pictures of “war ravaged Portland”, then compare them to the daily pictures of Gaza and Ukraine and I can see they are *almost* exactly the same.
What gets me most is the footage of columns of traffic heading south on the Pacific Coast Highway to safety.

Sorry, meant ‘not at all happening’
