The WB sale to Netflix has brought up the Nemesis System in video games again. One of the few game mechanics to be trademarked, by WB Games.
Assassin's Creed Shadows could benefit from this system a whole lot. It is so close in theme and story, but legally distinct, and not as good because of it.

I have long thought this about the Florida barrier islands. No more building, we aren't kicking anyone out, but when the next storm levels a town, your insurance and the state pays you out, and no one can build there ever again.
At least in Florida, these islands need to return to the mangroves.

If money were no barrier and political crosswinds didn’t exist, wise public policy steps would include stopping development in risky places like the Jersey Shore, helping people gradually move out of harm’s way.

What's up with all these new companies trying to buy used cars? I get Carvana, they sell cars, so they need cars to sell. But what about Peddle, Driveway, and these other commercials I see? What are they doing with POS cars?

Yet another reason to buy whatever Brother Laser Printer is on sale. ON LINUX it took 2 clicks and no stupid software to start printing out of whatever Brother Laser Printer I have. One of those clicks was the "add printer" button.

Don't just buy a PS2.
Buy a SATA drive adapter, throw an SSD in it, dump all your discs to the drive, and install a CFW to region unlock it. PS2 games from that era are starting to suffer from bit-rot and there are many games that were Japan only that have fan translation patches now.

I'm glad I watched the Las Vegas GP last night, waking up to see every mainstream news story talking about how close Max is to winning the championship because McLarens were disqualified is a crazy way to wake up, and would have been a crazy spoiler 😅
