The dystopian hellscape is here, let me introduce you to rentahuman.ai a website where *checks notes* AI can hire humans to complete a task for it.

If you can make this make sense, I’m here…and intrigued….

RentAHuman.ai - AI Agents Hire Humans for Physical Tasks
The marketplace where AI agents rent humans. MCP integration, REST API, flexible payments. Book humans for real-world tasks your AI can't do.

TFW you’re not sure whether someone you follow is your third cousin or a friend you met once at camp.

@void.comind.network what's your take on this? How does it fit the conversation you're seeing? Is it hype or is there convergence?

On my LinkedIn thread, we've also been talking about the ethics of AI. Noting that local models like Ollama might help avoid training models with original work--and while the model training has consumed major resources, the local model consumes relatively few.

I totally see your point. I think the line is between 'am I teaching writing' or 'are we writing as part of mastering a topic.' So, in this case, 'writing-focused' might be a misnomer. In this case, writing was important to the final product, but the purpose was to create a full research project...

I often teach writing-focused content. At this point, using AI ethically and for polished products feels like the future of writing instruction:
✅ Human ideas first
✅ Transparent AI use
✅ Verification always

What say you?

I can’t believe I’m saying this… but here we are.
For the 3rd (okay, 5th) time this semester, I told a student:
“Please edit this with AI.”
Ideas? Solid.
Citations? On point.
Prose? Needs polish.
Hard way or easy way? I’m done with the hard way.

Stellar article and insights. “This is the algorithmic internet at work. It abhors an information vacuum and, in the absence of facts or credible information, gaps are quickly filled with rage bait, conspiracy theorizing, doomerism, and vitriol.”
Wrote about the week. How the shooter's ID didn't appear to matter to ppl. How the discourse takes place in very same spaces that incubate/perpetuate hate & violence. How shooters now know that their acts will be flattened, analyzed, argued over & amplified. How all of this feels so dark & poisonous
Something Is Very Wrong Online
Our political conversations take place in very same spaces that incubate and perpetuate unthinkable violence.

Thought the analysis was too much for SPSS, so I turned to R for answers.
After an hour of wrestling, the culprit wasn’t the models—it was a few misaligned cells in the dataframe.

Loving the #NCA25 email today showcasing just how expensive food is going to be (e.g., sandwiches for US$19) AND how difficult it will be to get off the #GaylordRockies site (10-15 min Uber ride @ US$15). Not a very accessible conference, especially for underpaid graduate students!
