A PhD chapter that I'm very proud of is finally out in @ecol-evol.bsky.social!🦉

Using nestbox cameras from 4 countries, we explored interactive effects of habitat quality &weather on provisioning &prey composition 🪱🪲🐀in Little Owls -a rapidly declining farmland raptor.

Habitat‐Dependent Provisioning Patterns Are Modulated by Weather Conditions in a Rapidly Declining Farmland Raptor
We monitored parental food provisioning of Little Owls in four European countries with contrasting farmland structure using nestbox cameras and demonstrated that across all countries, provisioning ra...

#iwsg2025 Is over, and I already missed it. Happy that so many people wanted to chitchat with me about my vaporware poster about 3D nest morphology, or about our( @dillensegerg.bsky.social ) project about Andean shorebird breeding timing! See you next year @waderstudy.bsky.social !

Throwback to 2021, when me and @dillensegerg.bsky.social had the honor to be invited to participated in the chaccu, the roundup of the vicuña to shear the wool. It was hard to chase them while running at >4.500 meters of elevation near Arequipa!

JUST OUT! 🚨 Time capsule birds' nests! 🪹

I'm proud to share our discovery of layers of vintage plastic in urban birds’ nests... going back decades in time! 👀

“You flip through these nests like through pages of a history book, uncovering the past.” 📚

Let's dive in! 🧵👇 1/x

By only considering a single ecological trait for each species, we risk oversimplifying the complexity in nature.

A new special feature in @animalecology.bsky.social aims to build a better understanding of intraspecific variation

For my first post here, i can't help but repost how I'm still collecting data for this project!

If you have a digital camera and works with breeding shorebirds, please contact me! (Even here)
Otherwise, repost please!
